Main Ingredients
- 0.5 pound lean ground beef
- 0.5 cup diced yellow onion
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
- 0.25 cup water
- 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
- 8 ounces block of Colby jack cheese, shredded
- 12 ounces tortilla chips Tostitos brand, about ⅔ of the bag
Optional Garnish
- sour cream
- diced tomatoes
- chopped fresh cilantro
Cooking Instructions
Preheat oven to 450°F. Spray a Bundt pan with cooking spray. Set aside.
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the lean ground beef, diced yellow onion, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 6-7 minutes or until no pink remains. Drain excess fat.
Return skillet to medium heat; stir in the water and taco seasoning, coating the ground beef. Cook until most of the liquid evaporates, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat.
Add half the shredded cheese to the bottom of the Bundt pan, followed by half the ground beef mixture and ⅓ of the tortilla chips without packing them down.
Repeat with remaining cheese, ground beef mixture, and another ⅓ of tortilla chips, ensuring not to overfill.
Bake for 10 minutes.
Remove from the oven, place an inverted heat-proof plate over the Bundt pan, and carefully flip it over. Remove the pan to reveal the nachos on the plate.
Serve as is or garnish with optional toppings like sour cream, diced tomatoes, and chopped cilantro.
