Ingredients
  

Pasta and Sausage

  • 8 ounces pasta cooked, drained
  • 1 package Hillshire Farm Smoked Sausage diagonally cut into ¼-inch slices
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions
 

Cooking Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook until tender yet firm, about 10 minutes; drain and set aside.
  • While pasta is cooking, sauté sausage in a large skillet over medium-high heat for 5 minutes, turning occasionally.
  • Add cream and Cajun seasoning; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer gently for 3 to 4 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan cheese.
  • Add pasta to sauce and toss to serve.

Notes

For added fresh flavor, mix in 1 cup of frozen green peas in the last 3 to 4 minutes of cooking the pasta.
