Ingredients
  

  • ½ teaspoon olive oil
  • ½ small onion sliced
  • 1 ¼ cups long grain rice
  • 1 can (14.5 ounce) beef broth
  • 1 can (10.5 ounce) French onion soup such as Campbell's® Condensed French Onion Soup
  • 1 stick unsalted butter sliced into pats

Instructions
 

  • Gather all ingredients. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).
  • Heat olive oil in a small skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion slices and saute until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
  • Place rice in a 1 ¾-quart baking dish. Add broth, French onion soup, and fresh caramelized onions. Top with pats of butter.
  • Bake, covered, in the preheated oven for 45 minutes. Uncover and cook until rice is tender, about 10 minutes more.
